JNeilCare

“The ‘Overton window’ of the politically possible is not where a libertarian like me is. Conservatives and Minarchists (this latter a term coined by my old friend, Samuel Edward Konkin III) believe in restricting the State as much as humanly possible. Democrats, liberals, progressives all favor Universal Health Care, also known as ‘Single Payer’ also known as Socialized Medicine. Even a former Nixon administration economist like Ben Stein sees this as inevitable. I don’t. I see a possible stopgap from destroying all remnants of the free market in medicine, health care, and health insurance.” (05/06/17)

Conservatives and Minarchists (this latter a term coined by my old friend, Samuel Edward Konkin III) believe in restricting the State as much as humanly possible.

Many Democrats, liberals, progressives all favor Universal Health Care, also known as ‘Single Payer’ also known as Socialized Medicine.

What exactly is the logical conclusion from the above two “corrected” statements? Nothing…though I suppose one can predict a rationalization of the republican statist/corporatist status quo by Schulman.

Btw, a “compromise” is state run health care + side-by-side free market pay in cash. Health care is not health insurance. Mexico actually has this system. And medical tourism into Mexico by Americans is one of the few legitimate free-market alternative available. Unfortunately, comrade Trump’s wall and border control commie fetish threatens cross-border access to free market health care access for Americans.

    dLCARE

Both conservatives and progressives harbor a natural abhorrence to any market not under state compliance. There will be no free market outcome in any conservative-progressive compromise. None.

Reducing domestic restrictions on healthcare creates competition with DL’s medical travel agency much?

JNeilCare doesn’t reduce domestic restrictions on healthcare. JNeilCare is circular reasoning from a false premise(Conservatives believe in restricting the state as much as possible. Hence, conservative legislation will restrict the state as much as possible). TrumpWall, of course, invalidates the JNeilCare premise..and in practice will increase restrictions on access to free market care via medical tourism.
