Making people mad

"People are tired of me harping on cops. I know it. They've told me so. It makes them mad. It hurts their feelings. It makes them … uncomfortable. They don't want to hear it. I understand why. But I'm not sure I want to stop. It's just too important for liberty to make sure to drive the point home, and to never let up. To never give an inch. Cops are where the boot heel of tyranny meets the human face. Without their active aggression, there would be no such thing as political power. The opinions of the bullies of the State would be nothing but a bit of hot air, quickly lost to the gentlest breeze. Next to cops, presidents are nothing." (07/25/17)

People are tired of me harping on cops

Some people, perhaps. Certainly not me. Harp away, Kent!

Are the "cops" responsible for the tyranny all by themselves? I don't think you mean that, exactly. What gives the cops their power and aura of "authority?" Isn't it the acceptance of that authority by most ordinary people? What would happen if most of those people stopped believing that the non-voluntary government AND the minions it sends to enforce their edicts actually had any authority at all? How long would the jack booted thugs be able to continue their antics if nobody, or even almost nobody supported them?

It is the false religion of the "state" that drives this injustice and terror. Even when people recognize the injustice, they can't usually see the real problem and figure they can and should just "elect better people" to rule over them.
